The eco-council would like to say a huge thank you to Waitrose for responding to our plea for compostable food caddy liners and donating 30 packs! These will come in very useful once we get snack waste recycling up and running in EYFS and KS1. Thank you also to members of the "Joining Together" and the "Thatcham & Newbury plastic free, recycling & zero waste uk" Facebook pages for donating the kitchen caddies. We love the fact that these were second hand and, therefore, better for the environment!
If any other parents work for shops that may be able to help, it's not too late. We are still in need of larger compostable bags that hold up to 30 litres, to use in the hall at lunchtimes. We'd also like some large, kerbside food caddies (23 litre) to use in the hall:
