Eco-Schools Half Term Challenge

As an Eco-School, there is nothing we enjoy more than seeing our Eco-Committee’s environmental action spreading beyond our school boundary and into our local community - raising environmental awareness, encouraging engagement with nature and ensuring our Eco-Schools work has the maximum possible impact!

To help spread their environmental message far and wide, Eco-Schools England have teamed up with sustainable clothing brand Frugi to create ‘No Escapade Too Big or Small’ Half-Term Holiday homework! This beautifully designed bingo sheet contains 16 challenges for young Eco-Warriors to complete with their families during their half-term holidays. Activities include litter-picking, bug-hotel building and responsible recycling.

As an extra incentive, we will be awarding ruby gems to the children who complete the homework and the house captains will include them in the gem count after half term to see which house earned the most. All children who complete the home work will also be entered into a prize draw to win an eco-themed prize. Families only need to complete four of the activities in total but please feel free to do more if you would like!

You can download the bingo sheet from the Frugi blog, where you will find more inspiration on completing each challenge:

Please send completed bingo sheets back into school on Monday 28th February. Children can tick the activities they have done. If you need a printed copy, please ask your class teacher before half term.
