Erupting Volcanoes in Year 3!

This half term, Year 3 have been researching and exploring the impact of tsunamis and volcanoes on humans, animals and the natural world. Through their research and reading, they have written poems about a tsunami and painted 'The Big Wave', which parents may see in school.

For homework, the children made volcanoes; some on Minecraft, some made models and some made working models. A few children chose to show the class how their volcano would erupt using a variety of resources, for example cola and sweets, vinegar, food colouring and baking soda.

We hope you enjoy watching the children making their volcanoes erupt!
