Community United WestBerkshire has launched the #ProudToBe campaign, part of the #BelongingWB programme.
ProudToBe campaign is about showing off the diversity, culture, and heritage through portrait drawing of a famous Ethnic Minority Hero.
Calling budding young artists aged 5-15 years in #WestBerkshire to take part in a portrait drawing competition. We are asking young people to draw a famous personality from the ethnically diverse communities they admire and give reasons why in 50 words.
The competition has been divided into two categories:
Category 1 - 5- 10 years
Category 2- 11-15 years
The portrait has to be 25.4cm by 25.4 cm and sent to:
Community United WestBerkshire,
BroadwayHouse,
The Broadway,
4-8 Northbrook Street,
Newbury,
RG14 1BA
The winner from each category will receive a £50 book voucher and the portrait will be part of the #BelongingWB exhibition next year. Entry must be in by 30th October and results will be announced on Kennet Radio, in December 2021.
