On Friday 18th March, we raised money for Comic Relief by taking part in Red Nose Day. To raise money, we did a fancy-dress fun run and a design a red nose competition. The fun run took place in the afternoon. The first runners ran at 1:30pm and the last runners at 2:40pm. All the children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 ran 500m and all the children in Keys Stage 2 ran 1km in either red clothes or a fancy-dress costume. Lots of the staff joined in too!
On Wednesday 2nd March, we gave out Design a Red Nose sheets, which had to be handed in on Red Nose Day so the school council could judge them. It was a tough decision. There was an award for the winners in EYFS, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6. Each winner was given a bag of red goodies to take home. Of course, all of the designs were fantastic and it was hard to choose the winners. Well done to everyone who entered!
We did all this to raise money to help others and we are really proud of everybody’s efforts. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and made a donation.
