On 4th December, Mrs Lewry and Mrs Hayward took a small group of children to represent Parsons Down in the annual Save the Children Christmas Carol Service held at St. Nicholas Church, Newbury. Prior to the event, many weeks had been dedicated to rehearsing new songs and learning lyrics. The choir were phenomenal in their preparation including during the afternoon rehearsal with all the schools at the church. During the service, as well as joining other local schools in singing, we had the opportunity to present our own Parsons Down song!
The eleven children who represented us did an amazing job with their singing and dance moves – they filled the church with their voices and made us incredibly proud. Through this charitable event, £3,502 was raised for the local branch of Save the Children. A massive thank you should also go to the parents who supported us with transportation and enthusiasm!
