What a fire-tastic day!
Red Watch fire brigade visited Year 2 on Tuesday 22nd October to launch our new topic for next term. The children learnt all about fire safety, fire alarms and what equipment the fire engines have. Some of the adults tried on the helmet, tunic, leggings and boots – it was very heavy!
Every child sat in the fire engine and some even got to spray the hose! It was so much fun, especially when the fire engine put on the loud siren! The children were impeccably behaved and asked really interesting questions. The firefighters set the children some homework – to check your smoke alarms work!
