Monday 8th June is World Oceans Day, when people around the world come together to celebrate, honour and protect our oceans. The focus for 2020 is to call on world leaders to protect 30% of our blue planet by 2030. You can help show your support by signing their petition.
This year, the Environment Agency are joining with the WWF to celebrate World Oceans Day with a special broadcast. There will be talks from a range of experts on some of the amazing species that live around our coastline, some of the issues facing our oceans, how they are being protected and how you can get involved. The broadcast will start at 10am on 8th June and last for one hour. During that time, you will be able to put questions to experts using live chat: learnliveuk.com.
