Yesterday, as part of their geography topic, Year 3 children got a taste of the Mediterranean. Despite a few initial reservations, the children had a chance to taste some new foods such as olives, couscous and feta cheese. It was great to see them getting stuck in, supporting each other and their willingness to try something new.


Here are some of their views: Grace said, “ I thought it was really good- I ate everything”. “I liked most of the foods, but I didn’t like the olives, they were too strong” - Jack. “The food tasting was really fun. I really liked the lemon!” - Gabby.


To enrich the Year 3 curriculum, the Health and Wellbeing in schools programme is coming into school on Wednesday 28th November to deliver a healthy lifestyles workshop for Year 3 children. We have then challenged Year 3 to spread the word.


We look forward to hearing what they have learnt and how they will use this to educate their peers.
