In spring 2019, Keep Britain Tidy is calling on volunteers to take action to improve the environment on our doorstep by joining the country’s biggest mass-participation environmental campaign.
They’re aiming to inspire around half a million people to join forces - in partnership with community organisations, businesses and councils - to collect and safely dispose of litter from our streets, parks and beaches, recycling as much as possible.
Parsons Down Partnership will be joining the Great British Spring Clean tomorrow as we stand together and declare that litter – which degrades the beauty of our environment and threatens to harm wildlife – is not acceptable.
Mrs. Fright, Miss Hargood, Miss Banning, Mrs Sturgess and Mrs Delamere will be taking a group of children to collect litter around our school grounds and outside the perimeter fence. They will be equipped with litter pickers and litter picking hoops. In addition to this event children across the partnership will also be working hard to keep our school grounds litter free by litter picking at break and lunchtimes.
We will keep you updated on our clean-up via Our Blog and our Partnership newsletters.
