In June we are taking part in The Wildlife Trust initiative called ‘30 Days Wild’ and encouraging the children to do something inspired by nature every day. Many classes are taking part in outdoor activities each day in June, such as bug hunts, den building, cloud watching, weaving with natural materials and more.
If you would like to get involved at home, take a look at the Wildlife Trust website for inspiration.
As part of 30 Days Wild we are also running a Wild Readers competition for children in all year groups. To enter, all children have to do is bring in a picture of themselves reading a book in a wild location. It could be in their garden, under a tree in the park, sitting in a tent… Let their imaginations run wild! Prizes will be awarded to the children who submit the photos that impress us the most.
The competition will run until Friday 28th June. Winners will be announced in assembly the following week.
