School Lunches

**Please note, we are a NUT FREE school. Please be careful when packing lunch boxes to avoid including anything that contains nuts. Chocolate spread is also not allowed in school as many of these spreads contain nuts.**

Through our work with Eco-Schools and Plastic Free Schools, we have also banned clingfilm in lunchboxes, as well as single-use water bottles.

Every pupil in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 automatically receives free school meals if required. Junior School children may also be entitled to free school meals if your family is in receipt of certain benefits. Please refer to the West Berkshire Council website and Pupil Premium parental letter for further details.

We have changed our catering provider from Dolce to Caterlink. You should have received an email from ParentPay, with an activation code to set up your account. If you already have a ParentPay account with another school, then the email will provide details of how you add a child to your account. A key difference for you to note, is that for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, meals can only be ordered via the ParentPay app (which can be done in advance) - children in those year groups will no longer be able to order their meal in class. Years EYFS, 1 and 2 can order (preferably) via ParentPay, but their Teacher will also be able to order for them in class if needed.

At PDP, we believe strongly in the importance of nutritious balanced diets. The children are regularly taught about how to make healthy food choices:
