Hedgehog Minstead Day 2

Blog 17.03

We’ve had another lovely day in Minstead. This morning we split into groups and visited the sheep and chickens that live on site here. We then went on a treasure hunt and made maps using resources from the grounds.

After lunch, we went into the classroom to look at some maps and learn some more about rivers. We then ventured outside into the local river to measure the depth and look for features such as tributaries and meanders. We finished the afternoon by using a very expensive piece of equipment to measure the flow of the water and then race some leaves in the river too!

Dinner tonight was sausages with potatoes and veg and apple crumble for pudding! We are now all showered and in our pjs enjoying a movie on the beanbags. Fingers crossed for an early night!
