Mrs Bull led assemblies today about the RSPB Great British Bird Watch which takes place across the country over the weekend. Some of our younger pupils were so inspired they started at lunchtime! We didn’t find many birds in our school grounds but hopefully you’ll have more luck this weekend! Happy twitching!

We had our final OPAL audit this week and I am delighted to share that we have been accredited with a gold standard! We are the first school in West Berkshire to receive OPAL accreditation and I am delighted with the outcome. The journey continues and your input will help us plan the next steps.

In this week’s assemblies, we have been continuing to discuss our OPAL project (Outdoor Play and Learning). The sandpit has been incredibly popular this week and next week we are adding in some new loose parts. It is very muddy and soggy in places. Wellies are essential and waterproofs will hopefully mean less washing and your child can access all areas. We do have some spare wellies and waterproofs in Hedgehog class.
