The Summer Reading Challenge is back and this year the theme is "Ready, Set, Read!" - a sports and games themed challenge. The Reading Challenge takes place between 1st July and 15th September and is a great way to inspire children to keep up their reading over the Summer Holidays.
All you need to do is sign up at your local library or online: https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/. It is free to join and borrow books from West Berkshire Libraries for all people living, working, or studying in West Berkshire: http://www.westberks.gov.uk/libraries
The goal is for the children to read up to six library books during the challenge, collecting free incentives along the way. Once the challenge has been completed, children will recieve a certificate and medal to recognise their achievement.
