Massive well done to our U11 football team that travelled to Tilehurst this afternoon, to compete in the finals of the ESFA competition, having qualified by topping the group back in October.
A brilliant come back from 3-0 down saw them narrowly defeated by a predictably strong Falkland team, 3-2. This was followed by a fabulous team performance against our hosts, Long Lane, and a thoroughly deserved 2-1 win! This included goal of the season (so far!) from Josh, who managed to score from a goal kick Final game saw us pipped at the post by two unstoppable free kicks, with the game finishing 3-1.
Considering 16 teams started the competition, I’m incredibly proud that we finished 3rd overall and have loved watching this group of individuals evolve into a team.
