On Tuesday, our pupil eco-committee met with Service Master - the company who clean our school. This meeting was initiated by Jennifer, who wrote to Service Master following our Environmental Review to ask them about the environmental impact of their cleaning products.
Inga and Stuart provided an engaging presentation, explaining that their products are all biodegradable. They also talked about the many things they are doing to help the environment, including cutting down on water use by developing products that require less, washing and reusing cleaning cloths at their own laundry and beginning the transition to electric vehicles. Some waste from their sites is even recycled into renewable fuel.
The children really enjoyed this opportunity and were lucky enough to be given a goody bag by Inga and Stuart at the end of the session!
