The site can be accessed via Paynesdown Road, Herons Way or Lower Way. The school gates open at 8.30am and the Junior school classroom doors open at 8.40am and the infants at 8.45am.

Learning starts straight away for pupils and being on time is important for academic success but also pupil wellbeing and that sense of belonging. Pupils who arrive between 8.50am and 9.15am will be marked as late, but counted as present for that session.

Pupils who arrive after the register has closed 9.15am will be marked as absent for

that session. If the parent provides a satisfactory explanation this will be marked as an ‘authorised absence’; if the parent fails to provide a satisfactory explanation this will be marked as an ‘unauthorised absence’ for that session.

Morning Break

Children in EYFS and Year 1 enjoy a break during Learning and Discovery time. Children in the infant school receive a free healthy snack (fruit or vegetables) The children in Year 2 to Year 6 have a morning break at 10.50. Children may bring in a

healthy snack to eat during break. We are an Eco School so discourage single use plastic snacks. Fruit or vegetables either unwrapped or in a reusable pot are ideal.

Lunchtime

Lunch starts at 12.00 for infants and 12.15 for the juniors. Our Play Team supervise lunchtime, on a rota timetable. We are very proud to be an accredited OPAL school. Please see the OPAL section of our website to find out more about the exciting opportunities for play on a daily basis.

School finishes for all children at 3.15pm. Children are collected from their classroom doors. Please note, at the end of each long term (before Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays) school finishes at 1.35pm.
