Upcycled Planters for the Pod

We are very excited to have been able to plant up the space outside The Pod with some pollinator friendly plants in our 'upcycled' planters. Sophie, Kyra, Rose and Nicola did a great job planting basil and parsley and in the next few weeks we're going to invite families to take some home to experiment with using herbs in different recipes.

We would like to create a Parsons Down cookbook that features lots of different recipe ideas that children and families can try using simple home grown herbs to make food extra tasty! If you have any great recipe ideas, please let us know. 

This supports two of our ECO Schools topics this year - School Grounds and Healthy Living. 

With a HUGE thank you to RIVAR Sand & Gravel for so generously supplying the compost we needed to fill the planters.
