PSHE

PSHE is taught throughout the partnership using the Coram SCARF scheme, which provides a structured, progressive and engaging approach to developing pupils’ personal, social, health and emotional wellbeing. Through a wide range of age-appropriate topics and activities, children learn about relationships, emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, keeping safe, personal development and making positive choices. Lessons encourage pupils to develop self-awareness, confidence, resilience and empathy, while providing opportunities to discuss and explore real-life situations in a safe and supportive environment. The scheme also supports pupils’ understanding of relationships, consent, online safety, mental health, healthy living and staying safe, including age-appropriate relationships and sex education. As pupils progress through the partnership, they develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to make informed and responsible decisions, build positive relationships, manage challenges and become confident, respectful and responsible members of their school and wider community. Our approach to PSHE actively promotes the British values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Learn together. Grow together. Succeed together.
