Cross Country Championships

On Tuesday 17th March, 27 pupils all tried their best in the Cross Country Championships representing our school. It was very brave of everyone who participated to run with lots of pressure and people spectating. There were 4 races overall, each race having around 400 people running in a 4.35 kilometre track.

Rosie, Melissa and Theo all had an amazing run, with Theo getting 67th in the year 5 and 6 boys’ race, Rosie getting 26th in the year 3 and 4 girls race and Melissa getting 26th in the year 5 and 6 girls race. Everyone tried really hard and enjoyed themselves throughout the whole race. Luckily it was a nice sunny day, so no one got too hot or too cold when running the race or supporting their friends. There were over 1600 people in total, with 51 schools participating and up to 40 people in each school, so it was a really tough competition to compete in.
